Grandstepper Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

Grandstepper (“the app”) is designed to display your daily step count and walking/running distance in large, easy-to-read numbers. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.

1. Information We Collect

Grandstepper reads the following data from Apple’s HealthKit on your device, only with your explicit permission:

The app does not request, collect, or store any other personal information such as your name, email address, location, contacts, or device identifiers.

2. How Your Information Is Used

Health data read from HealthKit is used solely to display your step count and distance within the app. The data is read on demand and shown on screen.

3. Data Storage and Sharing

All health information remains on your device under the protection of Apple’s HealthKit framework and your device’s security settings.

4. Permissions

The first time you open Grandstepper, iOS will ask whether you want to grant the app read access to your step count and walking/running distance. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in the Settings app under Privacy & Security > Health > Grandstepper.

If you revoke permission, the app will not be able to display your steps or distance, but no further action is required on your part to remove data from the app, because no data is ever stored by the app.

5. Children’s Privacy

Grandstepper does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app does not collect or transmit data, it is suitable for users of any age who have permission from their parent or guardian to use the device.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be included with future releases of the app and reflected by the “Last updated” date above.

7. Contact
